On a yearly basis, our society organizes short, intensive ESACT courses on topics relevant to scientists working in the field of Animal Cell Technology (ACT).
ESACT Courses go virtual in 2020
Considering the evolution of Covid19 pandemics, ESACT decided to move the following courses in 2020 to a virtual format:
- 10thAnimal Cell Technology Course 21 – 25 Sept, and the
- 5th Cell Culture-Based Viral Vaccines Course 28 Sept – 2 Oct
ESACT has also decided to postpone the 1st Course on Bioprocessing and Manufacturing of Gene and Cell Therapy Products to September 2021.
The course organization and course details have been changed to facilitate on-line follow-up while keeping the technical contents and the participation of experts from academia and industry. The courses will last from Monday to Friday and will have 4 hours of tuition every day. Times have been defined to allow people from different continents to follow the course program.

A short detail to ESACT courses:
The ACT-Course is an introductory course on ACT and is given by leading scientists in the field. If you are interested in the basic principles of vaccination and manufacturing of viral vaccines ESACT’s Cell-Culture Based Viral Vaccines Course maybe the right choice.
Due to the strong interest among the community and the positive feedback of our participants, we are happy to announce that ESACT will organize a new course on Bioprocessing and Manufacturing Gene and Cell Therapy Products in 2021. ESACT’s very successful Drug Discovery Course will pause in 2020 – but stay tuned for 2021!
